• <br /> • <br /> • <br /> Item 17. Miscellaneous - <br /> The surroundings of all restaurants and bakeries shall <br /> be kept clean and free of litter or rubbish. None of the opera- <br /> tions connected with a restaurant or bakery shall be conducted <br /> in any room used for domestic purposes. Adequate lockers ctr <br /> dressing rooms shall be provided for employees' clothing. <br /> Soiled linens, coats and aprons shall be 1mpt in containers <br /> provided for this purpose. All bakery products in transit shall <br /> be at all times protected from dust, flies and other contamination. <br /> No article , polish or other substance containing any cyanide <br /> preparation or other poisonous material shall be used for the <br /> cleansing or polishing of eating or cooking utensils. <br /> Section 6: Health of Employees. It shall be unlaw- <br /> ful foxlan.y person to work ar to be employed in any restaurant <br /> or bakery when and during the tirre such person is suffering from <br /> any infectious , contagious or communicable disease or is a <br /> carrier of any such disease. <br /> Section 7 . Procedure when Infections Suspected - <br /> When suspicion arises as to the possibility of trans- <br /> mission of infection or disease from any restaurant or bakery <br /> employee the Health Officer is authorized to require any or all <br /> of the following neasures: <br /> (1) The immediate exclusion of the employee from all <br /> restaurants and bakeries; (2) The immediate closing of the <br /> restaurant or bakery concerned until no further danger of dis- <br /> ease outbreak exists, in the opinion of the Health Officer; <br /> ( 3) Adequate re di cal examination of tie employee and of his <br /> associates with such laboratory examinations as may be indicated. <br /> Section 8. Enforcene nt Interpretation - This <br /> ordinance shall be enforced by the Health Officer in accordance <br /> with the interpretati ons thereof cont ained in said ordinance. <br /> Section 9. Penalties - <br /> Any person who violates any provision of this ord- <br /> inance shall be fined not mcsre than One Hundred Dollars (N100 .00) <br /> at the discretion of the court having jurisdiction. Each and <br /> every violation of the provisions of this ordinance shall <br /> constitute a separate offense. <br /> Section 10 - Repeal and Date of Effect - <br /> All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict <br /> with this ordirince are hereby repealed, and an emergency is <br /> declared to exist and this ordinance shall take effect <br /> immediately upon its passage and publication. <br /> -12- <br />
