C-100 (B2208-008). This review response is intended to accompany the revised Building Permit
drawings for this project (revision dated September 8, 2022).
Comments are presented below in italics, followed by applicant responses in standard text below each
comment.
Architectural
General:
The project involves an occupancy change to the enlarged lunchroom to an occupancy "A-2"
classification. Construction drawings prepared by a professional architect licensed in the state of
Washington are required where there is a change to the life -safety of the building. The drawings
should be sealed and signed by the architect -of -record. See IBC Section 107.1 and RCW section
78.08.410 Item (7).
• Response: Noted. Title block has been updated to note permit set and include seal and
signature by the Architect -of -Record. Please see updated permit drawings dated
8/26/2022.
Egress:
2. Conference Room 2 has been converted to an occupancy "A-2" classification. The following
comments should be addressed.
a. Two exits are required. A full plan should be provided for this room. An egress plan showing
two separate exit paths out of the building should be included. See IBC Table 1006.2.1
b. Provide a maximum occupant load sign per IBC Section 1004.9. The location of the sign
should be specified adjacent to the main exit from the room
c. The floor plan should specify exit signs. Intermediate exit signs should include direction
arrows where door signs are not readily visible. The lighting, including existing locations,
should specify a minimum 90-minute uninterrupted supply power per IBC Section 1013.6.3.
See IBC Section 10 13. 1
6211 Roosevelt Way Northeast I Seattle, WA 98115 1206 522 3830 1 www.tca-inc.com ' L
