To discuss such other related items as may be pertinent to the work. <br /> 4 <br /> 5 The Contractor shall prepare and submit at the preconstruction conference the following: <br /> 6 1. A breakdown of all lump sum items; <br /> 7 2. A preliminary schedule of working drawing submittals; and I <br /> 8 3. A list of material sources for approval if applicable. <br /> 9 <br /> 10 F1-08.0(2).RTF.docx I <br /> 11 Add the following new section: <br /> 12 <br /> 13 1-08.0(2) Hours of Work <br /> 14 (December 8, 2014 APWA GSP) I <br /> 15 <br /> 16 Except in the case of emergency or unless otherwise approved by the Engineer, the <br /> 17 normal working hours for the Contract shall be any consecutive 8-hour period between I <br /> 18 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. *** or as required by section F1-07.23(1)*** Monday through <br /> 19 Friday, exclusive of a lunch break. If the Contractor desires different than the normal <br /> 20 working hours stated above, the request must be submitted in writing prior to the I <br /> 21 preconstruction conference, subject to the provisions below. The working hours for the <br /> 22 Contract shall be established at or prior to the preconstruction conference. <br /> 23 I <br /> 24 All working hours and days are also subject to local permit and ordinance conditions (such <br /> 25 as noise ordinances). <br /> 26 I <br /> 27 If the Contractor wishes to deviate from the established working hours, the Contractor <br /> 28 shall submit a written request to the Engineer for consideration. This request shall state <br /> 29 what hours are being requested, and why. Requests shall be submitted for review no I <br /> 30 later than <br /> 31 ***72 hours for day work and 30 days for night work [A Noise Variance, which shall <br /> 32 be provided by the City, is required for Contract nighttime work and included as an I <br /> 33 appendix in these specifications. If the Contractor or the Engineer requests to do <br /> 34 nighttime work that is not already established in the Contract, a 30-day notice is <br /> 35 required. The Engineer will then review the request and apply for the Noise Variance; <br /> 36 the City can deny the request at its sole discretion. Nighttime work is considered to I <br /> 37 be between 10 pm and 7 am unless otherwise stated. The following mitigation <br /> 38 measures shall be in effect during a Noise Variance, though there may be additional <br /> 39 project specific requirements: I <br /> 40 • Back-up alarms shall be directional broad band type alarms. <br /> 41 • Trucks performing export haul shall have well maintained bed liners. <br /> 42 • Tailgate slamming will be prohibited. I 43 • No construction work shall be allowed between 6 pm and 8 am on Saturdays, <br /> 44 Sundays, or federally recognized holidays unless otherwise stated in the <br /> 45 Noise Variance Permit.]*** I <br /> 46 prior to the day(s) the Contractor is requesting to change the hours. <br /> 47 <br /> 48 If the Contracting Agency approves such a deviation, such approval may be subject to I <br /> 49 certain other conditions, which will be detailed in writing.
