The <br /> I10 intermingling of HMA produced from more than one JMF is prohibited. Each strip of HMA <br /> 11 placed during a work shift shall conform to a single JMF established for the class of HMA <br /> 12 specified unless there is a need to make an adjustment in the JMF. <br /> 1 13 <br /> 14 5-04.3(8) Aggregate Acceptance Prior to Incorporation in HMA <br /> 15 For HMA accepted by nonstatistical evaluation the aggregate properties of sand <br /> I <br /> 16 17 equivalent, uncompacted void content and fracture will be evaluated in accordance with <br /> Section 3-04. Sampling and testing of aggregates for HMA accepted by commercial <br /> 18 evaluation will be at the option of the Engineer. <br /> 1 19 <br /> 20 5-04.3(8)A1 General <br /> 21 Nonstatistical evaluation shall be used for the acceptance of HMA for this project. <br /> I 22 <br /> 23 The Equivalent Single Axle Load (ESAL) for the mix design for the following area: <br /> 24 <br /> I <br /> 25 26 Broadway— 7,000,000.00 <br /> Hewitt— 7,500,000.00 <br /> 27 Rucker Avenue— 8,500,000.00 <br /> I 28 <br /> 29 The mix design will be the initial JMF for the class of HMA. The contractor may request a <br /> 30 change in the JMF. Any adjustment to the JMF will require the approval of the Project <br /> 31 Engineer and may be made in accordance with Section 9-03.8(7). <br /> 32 <br /> 33 5-04.3(9) HMA Mixture Acceptance <br /> I <br /> 34 Acceptance of HMA shall be as provided under nonstatistical, or commercial evaluation. <br /> 35 <br /> 36 Nonstatistical evaluation will be used for the acceptance of HMA unless Commercial <br /> 37 Evaluation is specified. <br /> 38 <br /> 39 Commercial evaluation will be used for Commercial HMA and for other classes of HMA <br /> I 40 in the following applications: sidewalks, road approaches, ditches, slopes, paths, trails, <br /> 41 gores, prelevel, temporary pavement, and pavement repair. Other nonstructural <br /> 42 applications of HMA accepted by commercial evaluation shall be as approved by the <br /> ' 43 Engineer.
