I <br /> SECTION 01 11 00 <br /> SUMMARY OF WORK <br /> PART 1 : GENERAL <br /> 1.01 SCOPE OF WORK <br /> A. The Work specified for this contract consists of furnishing all labor, materials, <br /> tools and equipment necessary for the construction and installation of upgrades <br /> involving the existing Recirculation/Bypass Flow Control Structure and Diversion <br /> Structure 2 to allow bypass of the trickling filter influent (TFI) mechanical bar <br /> screen and in the east compartment and improvement of level control in the west <br /> compartment of the Recirculation/Bypass Flow Control Structure. The work <br /> generally includes, but shall not be limited to the following: <br /> 1. Relocation of existing electrical and fiber optic conduits and a 10-inch <br /> tank drain pipeline. <br /> 2. Trenching, excavation, shoring, groundwater control, piping, fittings, <br /> couplings, flexible connectors, bedding, backfill, and compaction for <br /> installation of a new 36-inch bypass pipeline and precast concrete <br /> junction vault. <br /> 3. Temporary erosion and sediment control measures. <br /> 4. Bypass pumping during installation of the new 36-inch bypass pipeline, <br /> I 5. precast concrete junction vault, and associated slide gates. <br /> Asphalt paving removal and replacement associated with excavation for <br /> the pipeline and precast vault. <br /> 6. Demolition of a section of the existing 48-inch aerated lagoon effluent <br /> (ALE) pipeline downstream of the Recirculation/Bypass Flow Control <br /> Structure to allow installation of the new precast concrete junction vault. <br /> 7. Connection of the new precast concrete junction vault to the existing <br /> 48-inch ALE pipeline upstream and downstream of the vault. <br /> 8. Coring a hole and installing a slide gate in existing Diversion Structure 2 <br /> for connection and isolation of the new 36-inch bypass pipeline. <br /> 9. Installing a slide gate in the eastern compartment of the <br /> Recirculation/Bypass Flow Control Structure for isolation of the 48-inch <br /> ALE pipeline from Diversion Structure 2. <br /> 10. Installing a slide gate in the new precast concrete junction vault for <br /> isolation of the 48-inch ALE pipeline downstream of the eastern <br /> compartment of the Recirculation/Bypass Flow Control Structure. <br /> 11. Demolishing an existing slide gate and flap gate in the existing <br /> Recirculation/Bypass Flow Control Structure. <br /> 12.
