i <br /> Section 00 21 13 INSTRUCTIONS TO BIDDERS <br /> 1-02.2 Plans and Specifications <br /> Information as to where bid documents can be obtained or reviewed will be found in the Call for <br /> Bids (Advertisement for Bids) for the Work. <br /> 1-02.3 Not Used. <br /> i1-02.4 Examination of Plans, Specifications, and Site of Work <br /> ' 1-02.4(1) General <br /> The Bidder shall carefully examine the Contract Documents. Submittal of a Bid shall be <br /> conclusive evidence that the Bidder has made these examinations and understands all <br /> requirements for the performance of the completed Work. The Bidder further warrants, <br /> agrees, and acknowledges by submitting a Bid that it: <br /> Ii. Has taken steps reasonably necessary to ascertain the nature and location of the <br /> Work, including without limitation the actual physical conditions of and at the location, <br /> surface and subsurface conditions, and conditions ordinarily to be encountered and <br /> generally recognized as inherent in the Work; <br /> 2. Has investigated and satisfied itself as to the general and local conditions which can <br /> affect the Work or its cost, including but not limited to: <br /> a. Conditions bearing upon acquisition, transportation, disposal, handling, and <br /> storage of materials; <br /> b. The availability of labor, materials, services, utilities (including without limitation <br /> water and electric power), and roads; <br /> c. Uncertainties of weather, river stages, tides, or similar physical conditions at the <br /> site; <br /> d. The conformation and condition of the ground; <br /> e. The character of equipment and facilities needed preliminary to and during Work <br /> performance; <br /> f. The site biological hazards and associated physical hazards; <br /> g. Access to the Site; <br /> h. Environmental factors; and <br /> i. All other data, matters and things requisite to the fulfillment of the Work. <br /> 3. Has satisfied itself as to the character, quality, and quantity of surface and <br /> subsurface materials or obstacles to be encountered insofar as this information is <br /> reasonably ascertainable from an inspection of the Work site (including material <br /> sites) as well as from the bid documents and other information made a part of this <br /> Contract, and, if physical testing by Bidder of the Site is permitted by the City, Bidder <br /> has completed such testing to its satisfaction; and <br /> 4.
