Section#/A4.0 should specify a min.6" clearance for the wood framing above the exterior grade. <br /> The section references detail #7 where the minimum clearance is specified. <br /> 4. The proposed construction should specify all braced wall panels for the additions. <br /> Wall design standards/methods have been revised. See structural drawings and calcs. <br /> 5. Additional structural framing should be included in the plans. Additional framing includes but is not limited to <br /> posts supporting the ends of the hip girder trusses,and headers at the new exterior wall openings into the <br /> additions. <br /> The drawings set has been revised to address missing structural design information. Please see revised plans <br /> and structural details. <br /> 6. The proposed project includes construction over-framing on and installing a new skylight in the existing roof. <br /> The following items should be addressed:framing plans for the existing roof and skylight opening should be <br /> provided and comply with R802. <br /> Please see A2.1 and A2.2 for revised framing plans addressing the proposed skylight in the existing roof. The <br /> calcs address the comments as well. <br /> 7. The project includes demolition of a portion of the deck,including modifying the stairs to the backyard. The <br /> following comments should be addressed: <br /> 1. Framing plans and details modifying the existing deck should be provided. <br /> See sheet A2.0 for framing details <br /> 2. The modified deck should comply with the vertical and lateral connection requirements of R507.9. <br /> See sheet A2.0 and structural calculations for connection requirements. <br /> 3. Stairs should be provided with handrails <br /> Condition does not require a handrail as the stair/deck are less than 30"above adjacent grade. <br /> 4. The plans should specify a landing at the bottom of the stairs. <br /> Please see A2.1 for the addition of a concrete landing. <br /> 8. The north addition includes a window adjacent to the stairs. The Type W1 window is within 36 inches of the <br /> adjacent walking surface. Safety glazing is required. <br /> Window tag has been revised to reference note requiring safety glazing per the window schedule. <br /> 3 ' <br />
