The permit calculations include a lateral distribution analysis for the final <br /> configuration of the structure with the proposed addition. It is unclear if the <br /> existing shear walls are adequate with the additional lateral forces created by <br /> the second-floor addition. Subsequent permit calculations indicate checks for <br /> new shear walls, but does not appear to indicate checks for existing walls such <br /> as the shear wall line along Grid 1. Please verify. IRC R102.7.1, R301.1.3. <br /> 2. It appears that proposed transfer beams do not appear to account for load <br /> combinations where overturning resultants from lateral forces are considered. <br /> Permit calculations appear to only include gravity loading considerations such <br /> as dead, live, and snow loads. Please verify. IRC R102.7.1, R301.1.3. <br /> RESUBMITTAL REQUIREMENTS <br /> In order for the processing of your application to continue,it will be necessary <br /> to provide the Building Division with two new sets of revised construction <br /> documents reflecting the corrections requested.
