LEASE AMENDMENT NO. 1 <br />THIS AMENDMENT ( `Amendment"), dated for reference purposes July 1, 2023, is made <br />between the City of Everett, a municipal corporation whose address is 2930 Wetmore <br />Avenue, Everett, Washington 98201, for its heirs, executors administrators, successors and <br />assigns, hereinafter called the Lessor ("Lessor"), and WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT COUNCIL <br />SNOHOMISH COUNTY, hereinafter called the Lessee ("Lessee"). This Amendment No. 1 <br />concerns the lease dated July 1, 2022 for office space located on the 3rd and 4th floors of the <br />building commonly known as Everett Station, located at 3201 Smith Ave., Everett, WA <br />98201, between Lessee and the City, (the "Lease"). <br />1. The parties desire to amend the Lease by replacing Sections 3 and 8, in their <br />entirety, as follows: <br />TERM <br />3. Unless terminated earlier as provided under Section 8. <br />"RENEWAL/CANCELLATION", below, the term of this Lease shall be <br />extended until June 30, 2026. <br />RENEWAL/CANCELLATION <br />8 One year from the date of this Amendment, Lessee may exercise a <br />right to terminate this Lease upon sixty (60) days written notice to Lessor. <br />2. Full Force and Effect. The parties agree that the Lease remains in full force <br />and effect without interruption, except as expressly modified by this Amendment. <br />3. Counterparts: This Amendment may be executed in multiple counterparts, <br />each of which shall, for all purposes, be deemed an original but which together shall <br />constitute one and the same instrument, and the signature pages from any counterpart may <br />be appended to any other counterpart to assemble fully executed documents. <br />CITY OF EVERETT, <br />a Washington municipal corporation <br />By Cassie Franklin <br />Title: Mayor <br />
