• <br /> x <br /> ORDINANCE No. 2819 . <br /> M ORDINANCE amending Section 2 of Ordinance No. 2730 <br /> of the City of Everett, es amended by Ordinance No. 2766, entitled <br /> as follows: <br /> An .Ordinance relating to the public health <br /> and providing for the inspection of animal meats <br /> intended for human consumption, regulating and <br /> licensing the preparation, handling and sale of such <br /> meats, defining offenses , and prescribing penalties <br /> for the violation thereof, <br /> and declaring an emergency. <br /> THE CITY OF EVERETTT DOES ORDAIN: <br /> Section 1: That Section 2 of Ordinance No. 2730 <br /> of the City of Everett, es amended by 0rdi na nce No. 2766, be, <br /> and the same is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> Section 2: TEAT SHOP AND DELICATESSEN TORE LICENSE. <br /> (a) It shall be unlawful for any person, firm or <br /> corporation to open up , conduct, manage, operate or maintain a <br /> meat shop or delicatessen store without first having obtained <br /> a license therefor. A11 licenses shall be posted and displayed <br /> in a conspicuous place in said shop or store. <br /> (b) Any person desiring to obtain a Meat Shop or <br /> Delicatessen Store license shall make application to the <br /> Health Officer of the City of Everett, on a form to be provided <br /> by him, setting forth the Same of the applicant , tie location <br /> by street and number of the premises to be so occupiod, and <br /> the maximum number of meat salesmen to be employed operate <br /> as such therein. Upon the filing of such application the same <br /> shall be referrer: to the Neat Inspector who shall inspect the <br /> premises therein described and the fixtures and equipment to <br /> be used therein. If the said premises, fixtures and equipment <br /> comply with the requirements of this ordinance , and with all <br /> rules and regulations of the City of Everett relating to the <br /> public health and sanitation, said meat inspector shall so <br /> certify, and upon payment of the required license fee, shall <br /> thereupon issue such license. In the event the same do not so <br /> comply, the Teat Inspector shall thereupon reject such <br /> application. <br /> ( c) Every meat shop license shall authorize the <br /> person, firm or corporation therein named to conduct and <br /> operate a wholesale or retail meat shop, or a shop for the <br /> manufacture of meat products, including the right to manu- <br /> facture or sell cured meats in and upon the premises described <br /> in said license , and to sell inspected meats until the 31st day <br /> of December, next following the issuance of such license, unless <br /> sooner revoked for cause , and said license may, <br /> at the discretion <br /> of the City Council, be transferred from one place to another <br /> or from one person, firm or corporation to another person, firm <br /> or corporation. <br />
