EXHIBIT A <br />Scope of Work – Amendment No. 1 <br /> <br />PROJECT PROGRAM <br /> <br />The purpose of this contract is to provide consulting services for General Contractor/Construction <br />Management (GC/CM) Advisory & Consulting Services and Project Management/Construction <br />Management (PM/CM) Services for the Everett Municipal Building – Public Works Tenant <br />Improvements project. <br /> <br />Amendment No.1 will extend the scope of services for Parametrix, Inc. in order to provide <br />continued support for the Everett Municipal Building-Public Works Tenant Improvements <br />project. The scope of services will be revised to include General Contractor/Construction <br />Management (GC/CM) Advisory and Project Management/Construction Management (PM/CM) <br />Services related to Phase 2 inclusive of: Task 5 - Design and Permitting; Task 6 - GMP <br />Negotiations; and Task 7 – GC/CM Advisory Services, for the City of Everett project team, as <br />identified in the Parametrix City of Everett – Municipal Building Tenant Improvements fee <br />budget dated 3/22/2022. <br /> <br />Phase 2 – Task 5 – Design and Permitting: <br /> <br />1. During the design phase, a process of continual review and consultation must occur among <br />the team members, including the City’s Project Manager, Parametrix as the PM/CM and <br />GC/CM Consultant, the Architect and the GC/CM Contractor, on all issues as the team <br />moves from fundamental and general discussions, initially, to decisions on details as the <br />design progresses on the Project. Parametrix will assist and support the team on an as- <br />required, as-directed basis with activities that may include but not be limited to: <br /> <br />a) Assisting the City’s Project Manager(s) in the miscellaneous management of design <br />and preconstruction phase efforts and tasks. <br /> <br />b) Attend periodic design progress meetings during the design phase with the <br />representatives of the City, Architect and the Contractor as required to assess the <br />progress of the design team; adherence to scope, schedule and budget; assess the <br />activities of the Contractor; and discuss value engineering and constructability <br />opportunities. Parametrix fee proposal assumes that meetings will be able to be <br />attended virtually throughout the month and has budgeted for no more than one in- <br />person visit for meetings, etc. per month. Architect has primary responsibility for the <br />agenda and meeting minutes of the design progress meetings. <br /> <br />c) Assist the City’s Project Manager(s) in the preparation of information/content <br />required for periodic, internal project status presentations and/or reports. <br /> <br />d) Monitor the project design, project schedule, cost estimates/budget, and report to the <br />City’s Project Manager(s) on their status, as required. This may also include <br />recommendations to the City’s Project Manager on means/methods to bring design, <br />schedule or cost back into alignment with the project requirements. Architect has <br />primary responsibility for project design and budget adherence and Contractor has <br />primary responsibility for cost estimating and project schedule during design. <br /> <br />e) Review Architect’s design drawings and specifications at the appropriate project <br />milestones and provide QA/QC, value engineering and constructability input and <br />recommendations to the City’s Project Manager for consideration.
