The purpose <br />of the Emergency Management Performance Grant (EMPG) is to support jurisdictions <br />through an all -hazards approach to sustaining and enhancing disaster program areas. <br />The primary objective of the grant program is to assist agencies in implementing <br />measures to support a secure and resilient nation. <br />Recommendation (exact action requested of Council): <br />Authorize staff to apply for and if awarded authorize the Mayor to sign all necessary and required <br />documents to accept an Emergency Management Performance Grant in the amount of $61,422. <br />
