City of Everett Contract No. 156839 <br />Water Filtration Plant Portal 4 Improvements Design Contract Scope of Services <br />Everett Water Filtration Plant Portal 4 Improvements Design <br />Amendment 2 <br />Project Understanding <br />This Portal 4 Improvements Amendment 2 scope of work extends the existing design contract with <br />Brown and Caldwell to include project changes requested under the Project Management and <br />Services During Construction phases. These phases are updated to include the addition of an access <br />vault on the Portal 3 and Portal 5 intertie pipeline. The request for this work was made via email on <br />March 23, 2023. The following document summarizes the scope and level of effort for developing <br />the design documents and services during construction for the requested improvement. <br />Scope of Work Summary and Work Breakdown Structure <br />The Consultant scope of work includes two project phases, which are identified in the following table. <br />The proposed budget for this work is presented in Exhibit A. <br />Amendment 2 - Portal 3 and Portal 5 Intertie Access Vault Phase Summary <br />Phase 100 Project Management <br />Phase 700 Services During Construction <br />Phase 100 Project Management <br />Activities/Approach: Provide management, direction, coordination, and control of all project work, <br />and associated management of project scope, schedule, budget, technical quality, and monthly <br />progress reports and invoices. This task includes the following activities: <br />• Supervise project staff and manage consultant team, budget, and schedule. <br />• Conduct bi-weekly project check in calls with City's project manager (PM) to review project <br />status, schedule, and other project management related issues. <br />• Maintain the PMP including scope, schedule, and budget. <br />• Maintain the project risk register and action, issues and decision logs to aid in collaborative <br />decision making. <br />• Prepare monthly project status reports. Progress reports will identify budget status, progress <br />status, activities of the previous month, and up -coming activities. <br />• Conduct bi-weekly calls between BC's Project Manager (PM) and the Everett's PM to review <br />project status, schedule, contract issues, and other project management related issues. <br />Everett Responsibilities <br />• Participate in the project meetings. <br />• Review monthly status reports and supporting project documentation for invoice and payment <br />approval. <br />Page 1 of 7 <br />
