City of Everett 00 21 13 -2 <br /> Inductive Charging Infrastructure for Everett Transit <br /> material made available relating to the Work, Bidder shall so notify the City in writing, <br /> and may apply to the City for additional information and explanation before submitting <br /> their Bid. <br /> B. The submission of a Bid by the Bidder shall constitute acknowledgment that, in preparing <br /> and submitting a Bid, Bidder has not only reviewed the Contract Documents, but is also <br /> relying on their own knowledge, examination, inspection, and testing of: <br /> 1. the Site of the Work, <br /> 2. access to the Site, <br /> 3. environmental factors, <br /> 4. all other data, matters and things requisite to the fulfillment of the Work, <br /> 5. conditions ordinarily to be encountered and generally recognized as inherent in the <br /> Work, <br /> 6. available services and utilities at and in the vicinity of the Site of the Work, and <br /> 7. all applicable federal, state and local statutes, ordinances, and regulations dealing <br /> with building, public health and safety, or with the prevention of environmental <br /> pollution and the preservation of public natural resources, and environmental <br /> assessments or impact statements which have been prepared relating to the Work. <br /> C. Bidder acknowledges that he/she has not relied on representation or warranty of the City <br /> not expressly included in the Contract Documents. <br /> D. The information provided by the City is not intended to be a substitute for, or a <br /> supplement to, the independent verification by the Bidder to the extent such independent <br /> investigation of the Drawings and Specifications or Site conditions is deemed necessary <br /> or desirable by the Bidder. Bidder acknowledges that they have not relied upon City or <br /> Architect or Engineer furnished information regarding site conditions in preparing and <br /> submitting a Bid. <br /> 1.5 INTERPRETATION OF CONTRACT DOCUMENTS <br /> A. Should a Bidder find what is believed to be discrepancies in or omissions from the <br /> Drawings or Specifications, or should the Bidder be in doubt as to their meaning, Bidder <br /> may submit to the City a written request for an interpretation thereof. The Bidder <br /> submitting the request will be responsible for its prompt delivery. Any interpretation of <br /> the documents, if made, will be made only by addendum duly issued. All requests for <br /> interpretations must be in writing and received by the City, no later than 7 calendar days <br /> prior to the bid opening date. All questions regarding the Contract Documents shall be <br /> referred to the City at the address provided in the Contract Documents. <br /> 1.6 PREPARATION OF BIDS <br /> A. Bids shall be submitted on the forms provided by the City and found in the Contract <br /> Documents. All blank spaces in the Bid form shall be legibly filled in using a non-erasable <br /> medium. In the event that the product of a unit price and an estimated quantity does not <br /> equal the extended amount quoted, the unit price shall govern, and the correct product <br /> of the unit price and the estimated quantity shall be deemed to be the amount bid. If the <br /> sum of two or more items in a bidding schedule does not equal the total amounts quoted, <br /> the individual item amounts shall govern, and the correct total shall be deemed to be the <br /> 00 21 13 -2 INSTRUCTIONS TO BIDDERS <br />
