City of Everett 01 57 00- 6 <br /> Inductive Charging Infrastructure for Everett Transit <br /> C. The Contractor shall maintain air quality within the National Emission Standards for <br /> Hazardous Air Pollutants. Air pollutants are defined as that part of the atmosphere to <br /> which no ambient air quality standard is applicable, and which, in the judgment of the <br /> Administrator of the Environmental Protection Agency Clean Air Act, may cause or <br /> contribute to an increase in mortality or an increase in serious irreversible or <br /> incapacitating reversible illness. <br /> D. The Contractor shall minimize the potential for air pollution by the use of emission control <br /> devices on Contractor operated equipment and by the shut-down of motorized <br /> equipment when not in use. <br /> E. The Contractor shall control dust throughout the project. <br /> F. No burning, including trash or vegetation, will be permitted. <br /> G. Refer to Regulation III Puget Sound Clean Air Agency Article 4, Asbestos Control <br /> Standard, in the event the Contractor damages an existing duct, asbestos cement pipe, <br /> or any other facility that may contain asbestos. Repairs, Removal and containment shall <br /> be completed per WAC 296-62-07701 through 296-62-07753 as covered by chapter <br /> 49.17 RCW, Washington Industrial Safety and Health Act, RCW chapter 49.26. <br /> 1.10 DUST CONTROL <br /> A. Use water sprinkling, temporary enclosures, and other methods to limit dust and dirt <br /> migration. Do not apply water in quantities that would result in the creation of mud. <br /> Comply with all local regulations. <br /> B. The Contractor shall not discharge smoke, dust, and other contaminants into the <br /> atmosphere that violate the regulations of any legally constituted authority. The <br /> Contractor shall abide by all applicable regulations enforced by the Puget Sound Clean <br /> Air Agency. <br /> C. The Contractor shall minimize dust nuisance by cleaning, sweeping, vacuum sweeping, <br /> sprinkling with water or other means. The use of water, in amounts which result in mud <br /> on public streets, is not acceptable as a substitute for sweeping or other methods. <br /> Equipment for this operation shall be on the job site or available at all times as <br /> appropriate. <br /> D. In the case of concrete work, the Contractor shall provide worker training and protection, <br /> as required, to meet applicable silica regulations and regulatory guidance regarding silica <br /> exposure. <br /> 1.11 NOISE CONTROL <br /> A. The Contractor shall take all reasonable measures for the suppression of noise resulting <br /> from Work operations. Mobile engine driven cranes, loaders and similar material <br /> handling Equipment; engines used in stationary service for standby power; air <br /> compressors for high- and low-pressure service; and other similar Equipment shall be <br /> equipped with exhaust and air intake silencers designed for the maximum degree of <br /> 01 57 00- 6 TEMPORARY CONTROLS <br />
