City of Everett 01 72 29- 5 <br /> Inductive Charging Infrastructure for Everett Transit <br /> D. Provide materials with installed performance characteristics equivalent to or surpassing <br /> that of existing original materials. <br /> E. Product Substitutions: Submit for approval under provisions of Section 01 25 00. <br /> PART 3 - EXECUTION <br /> 3.1 EXAMINATION <br /> A. Examine existing conditions prior to commencing cutting and patching work. <br /> B. Analyze conditions and identify elements that may be subject to damage or movement <br /> during cutting and patching. <br /> C. Where unsafe or unsatisfactory conditions are encountered,take corrective action before <br /> proceeding and notify Owner and Architect/ Engineer. <br /> 3.2 PREPARATION <br /> A. Provide temporary support and bracing to maintain structural integrity of affected work. <br /> B. Protect work exposed by cutting and patching from adverse construction and <br /> environmental conditions. <br /> C. Avoid interference with use and free passage to Owner occupied areas. <br /> D. Identify and take measures to avoid cutting site and building utility systems, including <br /> pipe, conduit, and ductwork serving Owner occupied building areas prior to bypassing or <br /> replacement by new systems. <br /> 3.3 GENERAL PROCEDURES <br /> A. Provide incidental cutting, fitting, and patching as required to extend and complete the <br /> Work and make parts of the Work fit together properly. <br /> B. Cut and patch installed work to gain access for specified inspections and testing <br /> procedures. <br /> C. Remove improperly sequenced work, defective work, and non-conforming work and <br /> replace with new work conforming to requirements of Contract Documents. <br /> D. Make routine penetrations for installations of piping, ductwork, and conduit through non- <br /> structural locations. <br /> E. Where firestopping is removed, changed, or missing in fire resistive construction, such <br /> as walls, partitions, ceiling, or floor construction, patch with fire-resistive rated materials <br /> and systems in conformance to Section 07 84 00 - Firestopping. <br /> 01 72 29 - 5 CUTTING AND PATCHING <br />
