City of Everett 32 11 23 -2 <br /> Inductive Charging Infrastructure for Everett Transit <br /> PART 3 - EXECUTION <br /> 3.1 EXAMINATION <br /> A. Subgrade Examination <br /> 1. Call for an inspection by the Owner and obtain written acceptance of the prepared <br /> subgrade before proceeding with the placement of aggregate base course. <br /> 3.2 PREPARATION <br /> A. Perform subgrade preparation in accordance with the lines, finished grades, pavement <br /> sections, and typical cross sections indicated on the Contract Drawings. <br /> B. Subgrade preparation: Refer to Earthwork as stated elsewhere in the Contract <br /> Documents. <br /> 3.3 CONSTRUCTION <br /> A. Place and compact aggregate base courses in accordance with the lines, finished <br /> grades, pavement sections and typical cross sections indicated on the Contract <br /> Drawings. <br /> B. Construction requirements: Comply with WSDOT Standard Specifications Section 4- <br /> 04.3. <br /> 3.4 FIELD QUALITY CONTROL <br /> A. Test for compliance with specified requirements for density and compaction of aggregate <br /> base as specified in WSDOT Standard Specifications Section 4-04.3(5). <br /> B. Moisture content shall not vary more than 3 percent above or below the optimum <br /> moisture content as determined by test method ASTM D1557. <br /> C. Independently test each material type and/or when a material source changes. <br /> D. Tolerances: Maximum allowable deviation in measured thickness of Aggregate Base <br /> Course surfacing is 1/2 inch less than specified depth. <br /> END OF SECTION <br /> 32 11 23 -2 AGGREGATE BASE COURSES <br />
