1.6 CONTRACTORS USE OF THE PREMISES <br /> A. Monitor and secure buildings to prevent unauthorized access. Inspect premises at end <br /> of each workday to ensure doors and gates are locked, and exterior openings are closed <br /> and secure. <br /> B. Contractor shall be fully responsible for damage or loss that occurs to existing facilities <br /> and the public as a result of the work performed. Conduct operations in such a manner <br /> as to avoid damage to existing structures, walks, curbs, paving, grass areas, plantings, <br /> fences, and other improvements that are to remain. <br /> C. The possession or use of alcohol or drugs of any kind is not permitted on the Project site. <br /> D. Open fires are not permitted on the Project site. <br /> E. Assume full responsibility for protection and safekeeping of products stored at the site. <br /> F. Do not shut down building or site systems without approval of Owner. Building and site <br /> systems include, but are not limited to: irrigation, heating, air conditioning, ventilation, <br /> water, sewer, telephones, fire alarm, electrical power, lighting, communications and <br /> mechanical controls systems. <br /> G. Do not use Owner's garbage and recycle dumpsters. <br /> H. Keep existing driveways, fire lanes, and entrances serving the premises clear. Do not <br /> use these areas for parking or storage of materials. <br /> I. Confine materials, equipment, storage, staging area and refuse to within designated work <br /> limits. <br /> J. Perform work in a manner that does not interrupt, interfere with, or create an unsafe <br /> condition for building occupants, neighbors and the public. Take measures to ensure the <br /> safety of building occupants, neighbors and the public. <br /> K. Provide the necessary protection and replace, repair or restore damaged surfaces to their <br /> original condition; the expense of such work shall be borne by the Contractor. <br /> L.
