In addition, Section <br /> 1/A.301 does not appear to show that the attic has sufficient head clearance to be used as habitable <br /> space. The proposed room cannot be converted as proposed. The space may be used for storage, but <br /> the creation of the room must be shown as new construction and substantiated in the current <br /> proposed drawings for this use. <br /> 10. The drawings show construction of new staircases in the original house. The following comments <br /> should be addressed: <br /> a. Additional framing requirements appear to be required. <br /> b. The stairway does not appear to have adequate head clearance, particularly at the winder <br /> portions. The clearance shown does not dimension the walk-line as required. <br /> c. Additional sections should be shown to demonstrate the required structural construction and <br /> clearances. Portions of the stairs should be cut-away to clearly demonstrate clearances. <br /> d. The walkline should be shown and dimensions provided to demonstrate compliance. <br /> Review of your project will be performed in the order received once the required documentation has been <br /> submitted.
