The Level P2 Foundation Plan on Sheet S2.00 appears to specify two 8-inch concrete walls at <br /> Grid 4/E-F. However, only the north wall is clearly depicted as concrete construction at the <br /> upper levels while the south wall is not clearly depicted as a structural or non-structural wall. <br /> Note that the south wall is shown in the structural plans as a concrete wall through Level 2 <br /> while the north wall is specified as non-structural Wall Type M-1-6 at all levels. The drawings <br /> shall be revised. See IBC Sections 107.2.1 and 1603.1. <br /> 10.The structural drawings appear to require additional details for the construction of the concrete <br /> walls. Notable omissions include connection of the floors to and through the slabs, and <br /> boundary element reinforcement. The building includes multiple walls that appear intended as <br /> partitions only, such as Grid F.7/1-4 in the Level PO Plan on Sheet S2.03; additional details shall <br /> be provided for these walls as needed. See IBC Section 1603.1. <br /> 11. Sheet S2.16 provides a framing plan for a roof penthouse. The plan is incomplete. Notable <br /> • <br /> 0 <br /> omissions include the gravity framing and shear walls. The plan shall be revised. Calculations <br /> shall be provided as needed to substantiate the design. Additional review comments may be <br /> provided pending review of the design. See IBC Sections 1603.1 and 1604.1. <br /> Foundation System: <br /> 12.The structural calculations do not include the design of the wall and column foundations. <br />r . - s <br /> Calculations substantiating the foundation design shall be submitted for review. Additional <br /> review comments may be provided pending review of the design. See IBC Section 1604.1. <br /> 13.The structural calculations do not include the design of the perimeter foundation walls. <br /> Calculations substantiating the wall design shall be submitted for review. Additional review <br /> comments may be provided pending review of the design. See IBC Section 1604.1. <br /> Gravity System: <br /> 14.The structural calculations do not include the design of the concrete columns. Calculations <br /> substantiating the column design shall be submitted for review. Additional review comments <br /> may be provided pending review of the design. See IBC Section 1604.1. <br /> 15.The structural drawings specify typical concrete gravity column reinforcement in Details <br /> 19/S6.01 and 14/S6.02. Typical column sections are provided in Details 7/S6.01 and 8/S6.02. <br /> Detail 10/S6.01 provides a section for a special moment frame column. The details appear to <br /> provide redundant information. The details also provide information that is not in the proposed <br /> project, such as the column drop caps and moment frame column. The column details shall be <br /> revised. See IBC Sections 107.2.1, 1603.1, and 1901.5 Item 3. <br /> 16. Continuing with the previous comment, Details 11/S7.00 through 14/S7.00 appear to show <br /> typical slab-to-column connections. Verify that the details do not provide redundant information <br /> with the typical column details. In addition, the detail on Sheet S7.00 appear to be missing <br /> information and shall be revised as needed.
