410
• Plan Check Number B1906-031
2721 Wetmore Avenue
Response to concrete comments from Second Building Review, October 18, 2019
Foundation System:
Item 12
RE the supplemental structural calculations which confirm footing to wall dowels including eccentric
footings at shoring.
Item 13
13a and 13b.
RE the supplemental structural calculations for confirmation of wall reinforcement at perimeter walls
including all surcharges including traffic(equivalent to added 2 foot of soil pressure east and west)and
surcharge pressure diagrams at adjacent buildings(north and south)
13c to 13f. Perimeter wall reinforcement calculations with restrained pressures including 2 foot
equivalent surcharge pressures and seismic was previously submitted. RE supplemental calculations
including surcharge pressures from adjacent buildings and seismic as noted in response to Item 2.
Structural/Gravity System:
Item 14
RE response to Item 7 regarding column detail where rotating. All column loading is taken from ETABS
analysis and columns verified in in the supplemental calculations considering strong and weak axis
directions.
Item 15
Drawing S6.01 has been revised and details not specific to this project deleted.
Item 18
18a to 18d. The response to all balcony items is forthcoming in a separate response and submittal.
Please note that the reviewer appears to have confused tributary area calculation with rod spacing.
Item 19
19a to 19c. RE supplemental structural calculations for Level P1 a Concept analysis for the design of
this area. (Section 8 of the calculations)
19d. The design of the conventionally reinforced slab is included in the concept analysis. An additional
beam elevation is added in 2/S3.00. The columns on Grid 5 have been moved to Grid 4.9 so that the
beam now rests directly on the columns.
19e to 19g. Stair landing slabs per previously submitted PT slab design are now included in the floor PT
plans and reinforcing plans. Confirming distributed PT tendons continue to run through the stair
landings.
Item 23
23a to 23c. The plans and details have been revised to reflect the slab steps. RE architectural plans for
all dimensions to slab steps, which are best to shown in one location.
Items 24
24a to 24f. RE revised plans, with beam and partial plan call-outs updated. RE Supplemental structural
calculations confirming beam reinforcement. Where beams continue through steps and/or slopes, the
beam depths vary and are clarified in elevation and sections on Sheets S3.00 and S4.01. Where
reinforcement is noted with an asterisk on the reinforcement plans, the top reinforcement is held down
and continuous at slab steps.
Page 1.-.37
