S
To: Ryan Sass<RSass@everettwa.gov>
Subject: FW: Downtown Everett^' Parking Study
Hi Ryan—as a follow up to Craig's letter, I am passing along info from a conversation I had with Art on Monday. For his
recently submitted building permit for 73 units on Wetmore, he mentioned that he increased the number of proposed
parking spaces under the building from the previous plan (and more than required by code) because of the demand for
parking they are seeing as a result of the Funko garage and other parking facilities being more heavily used. He said that
we are increasing the traffic impact fee for the added spaces, which he contends will be used by drivers that are already
coming downtown but are being displaced from other parking facilities. I don't know anything about the impact fee
increase, but told him I would ask you about it. If there is a way to have this reviewed as displaced parking for current
downtown employees, would he need to have a traffic engineer do an analysis to quantify?
Thank you
EVERETT Allan Giffen, Planning Director
Community Planning and Economic Development
425.257.8725 12930 Wetmore Ave., Everett, WA 98201
everettwa.gov/planning I Facebook I Twitter
From:Craig Skotdal [mailto:craig.skotdal@skotdal.com]
Sent: Friday,June 21, 2019 5:00 PM
To:Allan Giffen <AGiffen@everettwa.gov>
Subject: FW: Downtown Everett^' Parking Study
FYI.
