All required hold-downs should be shown on the foundation <br /> plans and should be consistent with engineering when building has been engineered. <br /> R106.1.1 <br /> 16. Page 4 of the WoodWorks Shearwalls calculations in the structural calculations <br /> shows a 10 ft segmented shear wall located on level 2 Wall D-1 but floor plan on <br /> page 2b of calculations shows only roughly 4 ft total of wall available. Please clarify <br /> the shearwall location or update shearwall calculations. <br /> 17. Hold downs should be provided to resist uplift forces caused by overturning effects <br /> by lateral forces. Provide appropriate tie downs for walls located at all levels with a <br /> resulting uplift force. IBC 1604.4 and SDPWS 4.3.6.4.2 (See comment 15 for <br /> additional required information). <br /> 18. For engineered buildings,the size and spacing of all anchor bolts should be shown on <br /> the shear wall schedule. Shear wall schedule should be shown on the plans and be <br /> consistent with foundation sections. R106.1.1 <br /> 19. See Sheet S 1.3. Shear wall located on the second floor between the Master Room and <br /> Bonus Room should have a support in the floor framing. <br /> 20. Provide the following structural details. <br /> a. Plans should show structural framing details for the truss connection to the <br /> wall top plate with appropriate hardware, sheathing,and nailing <br /> requirements. <br /> b. Plans should show a structural framing detail for floor-to-floor shear <br /> transfer from upper-level walls to lower-level walls. R106.1.1 and <br /> R301.2.1 <br /> c. Plans should show the shear transfer from the roof to the shearwall located <br /> on the second floor between the Master Room and Bonus Room. <br /> d. Plans should show a framing detail of shear transfer for the lower roof <br /> framing. For example,the lower roof for the Dining Room and wall <br /> framing at the Bonus Room location. <br /> e.
