1 1
PELLETIER SCHAAR
21. Structural special inspections may be required for this project(shear wall nailing
closer than 4 inches). A statement on special inspections has not been provided and
should be provided on the plans. The statement should include a table listing each
type of special inspection and should specify the extent of each inspection (e.g.,
continuous, periodic)per IBC Section 1704.3.1. The table should include special
requirements for seismic and wind resisting systems as required by IBC Sections
1704.3.2 and 1704.3.3, respectively. See IBC Sections 107.1, 1704.2.3, 1704.3,
Table 1705.3.
22. Detail 3/A5.1 should specify and show bracing of the truss. This detail should also
show the connection to the wall top plate.
23. The Roof Framing Plan should specify any drag load/collector load and drag strut
requirements. R106.1.1, R802.10, and IBC 2303.4.1.1 (6)
24. Provide general structural notes including but not limited to: 411 —
a. Specify all design load values, including dead, live, snow, wind, lateral
retaining wall pressures and soil bearing values.
b. Specify grading and species of all framing lumber, including sheathing.
Specify pressure-treated wood and hot-dip galvanized or stainless steel
fasteners, anchors and hardware where required.
c. Specify Glulam beam stress grade and combination symbols.
d. Specify all engineered wood materials.
e. Specify maximum design concrete strength, concrete sack mix and
reinforcing bar grade.
f. Provide fastening schedule. Refer to IRC Table R602.3 (1)and list
applicable connections on the drawings.
g. Specify roof and floor sheathing and the nailing required.
h. Provide shear wall schedule and hold-down schedule specifying required
framing, fasteners and connectors.
25. Section C on Sheet A4.2 shows an elevation difference from garage and utility room
but Detail 8 on Sheet A5.1 doesn't show an elevation difference.
26. Please provide a max concrete curb height in Detail 9/A5.1
27. See Detail 7, 8, 10, and 11 on Sheet A5.1. Please provide the distance between floor
joist and ground in crawl space. Joists closer than 18 inches and girders closer than 12
inches require protection of wood from decay by use of naturally durable wood or
wood that is preservative-treated in accordance with AWPA U 1.
