5) The ledger of the deck is not correctly attached to the building. <br /> The joists are installed in hangars that are attached to the rime <br /> joist of the home. Blocking was installed after the fact and bolted to <br /> the ledger to give it an appearance of integrity. This is completely <br /> incorrect. <br /> This is not an exhaustive list. As the deck currently exists, we are <br /> unable to view what further problems may be present and may become <br /> apparent, which is why I recommend that it be completely removed and <br /> rebuilt properly. <br /> Once again, I appreciate your willingness to help.
