(i) Any person desiring to act as a meat saleeman,or <br /> employed in the handling of meat in any regular way of trade, <br /> shall present himself to the Health Officer of the City of Everett <br /> for medical examination, which includes the ';:asserman test. If <br /> such Health Officer shall find that such person has no contagious <br /> or communicable diseases he shall issue such person a health <br /> certificate . Said applicant shall present the said health <br /> certificate to the City Clerk of the City of Everett and apply <br /> for a license as 1,eat Salesman and shall pay to the City Treasurer <br /> of the City of Everett the sum of Two and 50/100 Dollars ( 2.50) ; <br /> provided however, that all salesmen who had a license for the year <br /> 1937 , and paid :i2 .50 for such license , shall be charged only One" <br /> and 25/100 Dollars ( 1.25) for a 1938 license . <br /> Said license for 1,eat Salesman shall expire on the 31st day <br /> of December of each year. <br /> The Health Officer shall have the power to call for a health <br /> examination of any meat employee , at any time he deems it necessary. <br /> (j ) Any such license may be revoked by the Leat Inspector for <br /> unclean habits of the holder, negligence in the handling of meats , <br /> fraud , dishonesty in the sale of meat, acquisition of a dangerous <br /> or loathsome disease , or if the meat salesman or employee is af- <br /> flicted with a contagious or infectious disease , or any violation <br /> of the ordinances of the City of Everett, the laws of the St' te of <br /> Jashinn.ton, or Federal laws relating to the preparation, handling <br /> or sale of meat or meat products. <br /> Section 3: An emergency is declared to exist and this ordinance <br /> shall take effect upon its passage and publication. <br /> Mayor . <br /> Attest: <br /> City Clerk . <br /> Passed: February 23rd, 1938 . <br /> Published: February 24th , 1938. <br />
