ACCIDENT PREVENTION PLAN <br />Safety Orientation <br />Each employee will be given a safety orientation when first hired. The orientation will cover the <br />following tems: <br />A description of the safety programs in place including a review of safety rules Safety <br />meeting policy <br />How and when to report injuries Where <br />first aid facities are located <br />How to report unsafe conditions and practices <br />What to do in an emergency including howto exit the work area Fire <br />and other emergency instructions <br />(formation regarding hazardous chemicals used <br />Use and care of required personal protective equipment (PPE) <br />On-the-job training needed to performwork safely <br />Safety and Health Training <br />Training is one of the most important elements of any injury and illness prevention program. <br />Such training is designed to enable employees to learn theirjobs properly, bring new ideas to <br />the workplace, reinforce existing safety policies and put the injury and illness prevention <br />program into action. The success of our injury and illness prevention program depends on the <br />actions of <br />individual employees as well as a commitment by the company. Our safety -training program is <br />updated as needed, based on the study of past accidents, near -misses and as required by law. <br />Agreement to Participate <br />By signing the safety orientation sheet, and any required training sheets, you agree to read and <br />implement this injury and illness prevention program. In orderfor the plan to be effective, all <br />employees must knowthe safety rules and participate in them. Merit raises and performance <br />evaluations are, in part, based on safe working behavior. If you do not understand any policy, <br />please ask your supervisor. <br />
