Supervisors are <br />expected to inspect theirwork area daily for potential hazards and investigate accidents according <br />to company policies. <br />The supervisors are the key figures in the establishment and success ofTeknotherm's injury and <br />illness prevention program. They have primary responsibility for the actual implementation of the <br />idury and illness prevention program, especially as it relates directly to the workplace. <br />Supervisors are responsible for being famibr with safety and health hazards to which employees are <br />exposed and rules and proceduresformaintainng a safe workplace. Supervisors shall promote <br />employee participation and take part in training and informing employees on work hazards. <br />Supervisor performance reviews are based, in part, on thei reffective safety administration. <br />Records <br />The following inspection, accident investigation and first aid records shall be kept at the office: <br />1. All inspections records. <br />2. A listing of all corrective action recommendations and responsive action taken. <br />3. A file will be established for each accident by the responsible supervisor. The file will be <br />maintained by the Operations Manager. The file will contain the following: <br />Supervisors First Report of Injury Form <br />Employee's Worker's Compensation Claims Form <br />Insurance Forms <br />Notes and related items <br />All written communications and documentation regarding safety will be kept on company file for at <br />least two years after an incident occurs. Training and other information will be kept for the time <br />specified by law. <br />Smoking <br />Smoking is prohibited in indoor work environments by state law. The company is required to <br />prevent tobacco smoke from entering the office from outside the building. Smoking areas used by <br />employees must be at least 25 feet from entrances, exits, wi ndows that open, and ventilation <br />intakes that serve an enclosed area where smoking is prohibited. Our customers may have <br />additional ales related to smoking at their facilities. Employees working in the field should find out <br />a customer's smoking rules prior to smoking at a customer's establishment. <br />Subcontractors <br />The site supervisor is responsible for monitoring the performance of the subcontractor. <br />Except when responding to an emergency, personnel entering a worksite must: <br />• Identify themselves to the site supervisor upon arrival. <br />• State the purpose of their visit and the area to be visited. <br />• Obey the on-the-job instructions, wear appropriate protective equipment, and follow <br />any special instructions given by the site supervisor. <br />• Notify the site supervisor when their visit is terminated. <br />Teknotherm subcontractors will participate in pre -job safety meeting, inspections, and crew <br />leader/crew safety meetings.
