Do not wear shoes with thin or torn soles. <br />19. Proper eye protection must be worn when you are exposed to dust, flying objects, harmful <br />rays, chemicals, flying particles, etc. <br />20. Not remove, displace, damage, or destroy or carry off any safeguard, notice, or warning <br />provided to make the workplace safe. <br />21. Obey all posted safety signs. <br />22. Gloves, aprons, and other protective equipment are required when handling rough materials, <br />chemicals, and hot or cold objects. <br />23. Know the location and use of fire equipment. Understand the procedures for sounding a fire <br />alarm and the locations of emergency exits. <br />24. Do not block aisles, traffic lanes, fire exits, gangways, or stairs. <br />Safety Rules for Shipboard and Ship Yard Jobsites <br />When working on ajobsite other than the Teknotherm property these procedures should be followed <br />in accordance with the general safety rules. All employees shall follow the safe practices and rules <br />contained inthis manual and such other rules and practices communicated on thejob. Management <br />shall be responsible for implementing these policies by insisting that employees observe and obey all <br />rules and regulations necessary to maintain a safe workplace and safe work habits and practices. <br />The following rules have been established by Teknotherm and all employees must comply: <br />1. Do not enter or work in any workplace that is not safe. <br />2. Conform with thejobsite/customer rules at all times. <br />3. Safety glasses should be worn at all times. <br />4. Protective footwear should be worn at all time. <br />5. Follow the jobsite hardhats rules, we recommend they be worn at all times <br />6. You must wear personal protective equipment (hard-hats, respirators, eye protection, ear <br />plugs)whenever needed. <br />7. All employees will participate injobsite safety meetings. <br />8. Anyone under the influence of intoxicating liquor or drugs including prescription drugs that <br />might impair motor skills and judgment, shall not be allowed on thejob. There will be no <br />consumption of alcohol or drugs on thejob. <br />
