• ' ' - Section 6 : CITY TREASURER. There shall be the,- following named deputies and assistants in the office of the City Treasurer, to-wit: One (1) Deputy City Treasurer; One (1) assistant deputy treasurer; One (1) Clerk (part time) ; One (1) water cashier; One (1) assistant water cashier and One (1) Clerk and Bookkeeper. It shall be the duty of such deputies and employees to perform the duties pertaining to the office of the City Treasurer as the City Treasurer shall authorize and direct. DEPARTMENT OF SAFETY. Section 7 : HEALTH D PARTMEJT. 'There shall be the following named assistants in the Health Department , to-wit : Part T'tm¢ One (1) Health Officer, (Hart time) ; One (1) deputy health officer; one (1) milk and food inspector; One (1) meat inspector, (part time); one assistant Milk and Food inspector and One (1) stenographer, (_kart time) . It shall be the duty of such officers and assistants to perform the duties pertaining to said department under the direction of the Health Officer and commissioner of Safety. SEction 8: POLICE DEPART.i T. ihere shall be the following named officers and assistants in the Police Depart- ment ,. to-wit: One (1) Chief of Police; One (1) captain of police; Three (3) sergeants; Three (3) plain clothes men; seventeen WI • first-class patrolmen; Three (3) second-class patrolmen; Three (3) third-class patrolmen; One (1) sergeant inspector; One (1) police matron; One (1) jailor and cook and One (1) stenographer, (part time) . • It shall be the duty of the officers and assistants in said department to perform the dut it s, •ind icated by the name of their employment , :and such other duties as the Chief of Police or Commissioner of Safety may authorize and direct. Section 9: FIRE DEPART ENT. There shall be the following named officers and assistants in the FIRE DEP ^JT c1T, to-wit : One (1) chief of department; One (1) first assistant chief of department; one (1) second assistant chief of department, One (1) superintendent of fire and police signal; One (1) assistant superintendent of fire and police signal; One (1) fire marshal and secretary; Six (6) captains; One (1) mechanic and • senior _ ipeman; One 1) assistant mechanic and senior pipeman; - Fifteen (15) senior pipemen; yine (9) junior pipemen; One (1) second year pipemen and Four (41 first year pipemen.
