. <br /> • <br /> • <br /> Whenever anyperson is operatingany <br /> 10 : <br /> vehicle upon any public highway of Everett he shall at all <br /> times drive the same to the right of the center of such high- <br /> way, except when in the exercise of care in the overtaking and <br /> passing of another vehicle traveling in the same direction, or <br /> where an obstruction exists it is necessary to drive to the <br /> left of the center of such highway, providing the same is done <br /> with due care and right of way is extended to vehicles traveling <br /> in the proper direction upon the unobstructed portion of the <br /> public highway. <br /> Section 11: Upon turning to the left at any inter- <br /> section it shall be unlawful for the operator of a vehicle to <br /> make such turn to the left unless all wheels of the vehicle <br /> snail pass to the ria.ht of the center of such intersection. <br /> Section 12: it shall be the duty of every operator <br /> of any vehicle on approaching public highway intersections to <br /> look out for and give right of way to vehicles on their right, <br /> simultaneously approaching a given point within the inter- <br /> section, and whether such vehicle first enter and reach the <br /> intersection or not ; provided, this section shall not apply to <br /> operators on arterial public highways. <br /> Section 13: It shall be the duty of any operator <br /> of any vehicle upon entering an intersection and having signalled <br /> his intention as: required by law to turn such vehicle to the <br /> left to look out for and give right of way to vehicles approach- <br /> ing in •the opposite direction and thereby placed on his right , <br /> simultaneously approaching the given point within the inter- <br /> section, whether .such vehicle first enter and reach the inter- <br /> section or not ; provided , this section shall not apply to a <br /> vehicle making such a left turn when having entered and turning <br /> to proceed upon an arterial highway. <br /> • Section 14 : The operator of any vehicle shall stop <br /> as required by law at the entrance to any intersection with any <br /> arterial public highway, and having stopped shall look out for <br /> and give right of way to any vehicles upon such arterial highway <br /> simultaneously approaching a given point within the inter- <br /> section, whether or not such vehicle first reach and enter the <br /> intersection. <br /> 'ection 15: it shall be the duty of every operator <br /> of a vehicle while backing such vehicle to look out for and <br /> yield the right of way to all other vehicles upon the public <br /> highway. <br /> Section 16: it shall be unlawful for the operator of <br /> a vehicle to emerge from any alley, driveway, building exit, <br /> private way or private property or from off the roadway of any <br /> public highway, onto the roadway of any public highway or <br /> across a sidewalk or into the sidewalk area extending across any <br /> such alley, driveway, building exit, private way or private <br /> property without bringing such vehicle to a full stop and <br /> yielding the right of way to all pedestrians upon such sidewalk <br /> and all vehicles upon such public highway. <br /> -7- <br />
