These pumps are critical process <br />equipment. <br />What are the specific necessary <br />features that this supplier provides <br />that are not available from other <br />suppliers? <br />The Flowserve pumps and parts are needed for maintenance, repairs, and <br />replacement of vertical turbine pumps installed at WPCF. The pumps <br />provide reclaimed water to the instrumentation and process installed at the <br />facility. Properly functioning Flowserve pumps assist the facility with <br />compliance with the National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System <br />(NPDES) permit requirements. <br />Discuss how similar goods or services <br />are unable to meet the required <br />objective. <br />Vertical turbine pumps and parts are specific to each manufacturer and <br />not compatible or interchangeable with other brands. Other manufacturer <br />parts cannot be used on the Flowserve pumps currently installed.
