1 V w Section 3 : Every person, firm or corporation operating taxicabs in the City of .Everett may at their option have a distinctive color scheme and said taxicab ' s color scheme shall be approved by the Commissioner of Safety of the City of Everett ; provided that the taxicab ,off color scheme chosen by any person, firm or corporation, as herein reluired, shall not conflict with any existing color scheme previously chosen by any other person , firm. or corporation. Section %: Every person , firm or corporation operating taxicabs in the City of Everett shall file with the City Clerk a schedule of rates to be charged for the operation of their taxicabs within the City limits of the City of Everett, and it shall be unlawful for any such person , firm or corporation to make any greater charge for said services rendered by such person , firm or corporation. Such person , firm or corporation shall further cause to be posted in every taxicab a card containing a schedule of said rates, said card to bear the written approval of the City Clerk. Said card shall be posted in a prominent place in said taxicab and the Commissioner of Safety shall have the power in his discretion to designate the place of post- ing in said taxicab and the size of said cards , provided that said filed rates shall not be changed until the schedule of the proposed changes in rate be on file with the City Clerk for a period of thirty (30 ) days . Section 5 : The Commissioner of Safety is granted full power, upon proper application being made to him, to set off and designate taxicab zones and stands upon the various streets of Everett , including ihewitt Avenue , and to cause said zones to be marked off upon the street. Each person, firm and corporation, who has fulfilled the condi- tions precedent outlined in Section " of this ordinance may annly to the Commissioner of Public Safety in writing designating the place desired to be set apart to such person , firm and corporation, as a taxicab zone; the Commissioner of Safety may in his discretion either grant or reject said application; the grant nay be revoked at any time by the Commissioner of Safety for cause ; it shall be unlawful for any other operator to use any zone not specifically granted to such operator 'S79- 8.6 3�-s� Section d : Any person violating any of the provisions of this ordinance shall , upon conviction, be punished by imprisonment not to exceed ninety (90 ) days or by fine not to exceed Three Hundred Dollars ( 3O0 .CO) , or both such fine and imprisonment . Section 7 : All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are herby revealed . - 2 -
