• <br /> ORDINANCE No. 2719 <br /> AN ORDINANCE relating to and regulating the installa- <br /> tion, maintenance, use and operation of oil burners and oil <br /> burning equipment; defining terms; providing for the inspection <br /> and approval of same and fees in connection therewith; defining <br /> certain misdemeanors in relation thereto; providing penalties <br /> for the violation thereof; repealing all ordinances and parts <br /> of ordinances in conflict therewith, and declaring an emergency. <br /> .'T , CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: <br /> Section 1: Wherever used in this ordinance in <br /> referrin to oil burners and/or oil burning equipment, the <br /> following words and expressions are used in the sense defined <br /> in this section: <br /> GRAVITY OIL BURNER: An oil burner to which oil <br /> fuel is delivered from a gravity tank. <br /> GRAVITY OIL TANK: An oil storage or supply tank <br /> from which oil is delivered to an oil burner by means of gravity <br /> flow, provided, this definition shall not apply to an oil <br /> reservoir which is elsewhere defined . <br /> IL BURNER: Any device designed, arranged <br /> or used to burn oil fuel. <br /> OIL BURNING EQUIP" NT: All equipment connected to an <br /> oil burner, including tanks, piping, pumps, burners, oil <br /> burning stoves, electric wiring and other accessories thereto. <br /> OIL BURNING STOVE: A self-contained stove or <br /> heater designed by the manufacturer to burn oil fuel and in <br /> which the combustion chamber and oil burner are constructed <br /> as an integral part . <br /> OIL FUEL: Any liquid used as fuel and having a <br /> flash point not lower than 120 degrees Fahrkeit . <br /> OIL RESERVOIR: A container for fuel attached <br /> directly to an oil burner stove as an integral part thereof <br /> CERTIFICATE OF APPROVAL: A printed or written <br /> certificate, showing approval of the Fire Chief and permitting <br /> the sale thereof in the City of 1,verett, of an oil burner, <br /> oil burning equipment, accessories attached thereto, etc. <br /> INSTALLATION PERMIT OF APPROVAL: A printed or <br /> written permit, showing authorization for installation and <br /> approval of installation of all oil burners, oil burning <br /> equipment , accessories attached thereto, etc. <br /> i <br />
