• . 4 + <br /> Section 19: Should any section, paragraph, <br /> sentence, clause, or phrase of this ordinance be declared <br /> unconstitutional or invalid for any reason, the remainder <br /> of said ordinance shall not be affected thereby. <br /> Section 20: All ordinances and parts of <br /> ordinances in conflict with this ordinance are hereby <br /> repealed. <br /> Section 21: Immediately following the passage and <br /> publicationof this ordinance and extending for a period of Thirty (30) <br /> days thereafter, every owner or person in charge of every oil <br /> burner installation, installed prior to the passage of this <br /> ordinance , and used for the purpose of and/or in connection <br /> with any steam or hot water boiler or warm air furnace, stove <br /> or range, will be required to apply to the office of the <br /> ire Chief of the ity of Lverett for a temporary installation <br /> permit of approval. -enter the expiration of this 'hirty <br /> (30) day period, no oil company, distributor, or agent of <br /> any oil company or distributor, shall be permitted to <br /> deliver oil to any storage or supply tank where such <br /> temporary permit has not been issued. This temporary permit <br /> will be issued without cost , and will serve to permit oil <br /> fuel deliveries until such time as may be necessary for the <br /> Fire Chief to effect proper inspection, corrections and the <br /> issuance of a regular installation Permit of approval. <br /> (a) Following inspection of installations <br /> existing prior to the passage of this ordinance, it shall <br /> be necessary for each owner of an oil burner installation <br /> to make such corrections as necessary to conform with the <br /> requirements of this ordinance . t'ailure to comply <br /> within the time limit set by the .12ire Chief will c use r <br /> for- <br /> feiture of Temporary Installation of Approval and no <br /> delivery of fuel oil will be permitted until such corrections <br /> have been made and installation permit of approval has been <br /> issued by the Fire Chief. <br /> Section 22: That within recent months there have <br /> been many installations in the City of Lverett of various <br /> types of oil burners, without proper regulations governing <br /> the same, all of which increases the fire risk and hazards. <br /> By reason of the foregoing, an emergency exists in which it <br /> is necessary for the immediate preservation of public safety <br /> that this ordinance shall become effective without delay, and <br /> such emergency is hereby declared to and does exist . there- <br /> fore this ordinance shall take effect <br /> imediately upon its <br /> passage by the City Council, publication. <br /> Mayor <br /> __----dZfZf:t--- ---- <br /> City Clerk <br /> Passed: liarch 16, 1937 <br /> Published Larch 17 , 1937 <br /> . <br /> -11- <br />
