Structural special inspections may be required for this project (post-installed hold downs). A
statement on special inspections has not been provided and should be provided on the plans.
The statement should include a table listing each type of special inspection and should specify
the extent of each inspection (e.g., continuous, periodic) per IBC Section 1704.3.1. The table
should include special requirements for seismic and wind resisting systems as required by IBC
Sections 1704.3.2 and 1704.3.3, respectively. See IBC Sections 107.1, 1704.2.3, 1704.3, Table
1705.3.
11. Provide a nailing schedule on the drawings. Refer to IRC Table R602.3 (1) and list applicable
connections on the drawings. Fasteners, including nuts and washers, and connectors in contact
with preservative-treated wood and fire-retardant-treated wood shall be in accordance with
Section R317.3.
This review has been performed for general compliance with the building codes as adopted and
amended by the state of Washington and the city of Everett. Corrections and comments made
during the review process do not relieve the project from compliance with code and permit
requirements. The designers-of-record are responsible for a complete design in accordance with
the laws of the state of Washington.
If you have any questions or require additional clarification, please contact us.
Respectfully,
Rakeeb Khan
Residential Plans Examiner
(425)257-7299
rkhan@everettwa.gov
S:\RKha n\2021\BW 2012-004_R 1.d ocx
O3200 Cedar Street 0 425.257.8810 0everetteps@everettwa.gov
Everett,WA 98201 425.257.8857 fax everettwa.gov/permits
Page 4 of 4
