reading is a vertical line sloping away that describes the edge of the upper roof
as it slopes away. No change needed. Also, the top of the concrete stern walls
shown will be lowered, consistent with other details on the page.
5. OK. Additional section added and cut on Sheet A2.0
6. OK. Three detail cuts added.
7. Architect to provide.
8. OK. Section cut and section added. Load to footing= .04(5)(2)
.07(14.513)(7)=2.76K > l'-6" sq X 8" w/(2)#4 EW. Will change footing
size on plan and also show in section.
9. The 1000# allowance has been used by many structural engineers and
allowed by many jurisdictions for many years, as the lateral analysis procedure,
and the"practice" of engineering, is an inexact at best. However, for this
jurisdiction, Simpson HDU2-SDS2.5 hold downs have been specified with#4
Gr 60 threaded re bar inserted 5" minimum into the existing concrete stem wall
with Simpson SET-XP epoxy grout.. Updated calculation sheets 17 and 19
have been attached. Hold downs noted on Sheet A2.0 on"Proposed Main
Level Floor Plan", and hold down description added on A2.o
10. Statement was already included. A note regarding the special inspection
required for concrete embeds has already been provided. See "Special
Inspection Required For" section in the Structural Notes. No changes needed.
11. This request is really an over-kill here, but the pages will be added and
also a note to the Framing notes to refer to IRC Table R602.3 (5) for all
standard nailing not called out in the plans. Realistically though, the
contractor can Google the chart very easily, plus this is specifying commonly
known and used minimum framing connections. See additional Sheet A2.5.
I trust the above answers are satisfactory. Please call or email if you have any
questions regarding my answers.
11110
