• <br /> • <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 2663 . <br /> An Ordinance providing for the improvement of Sixteenth Street from <br /> Rockefeller Avenue to Walnut Street, by clearing and grubbing, removal of <br /> old lumber, grading to proper grade, removal of existing curbs, walks and <br /> pavement as necessary, installation of necessary drainage, construction of <br /> a one course Portland cement concrete pavement, from Rockefeller Avenue to <br /> Broadway Avenue by two strips of cement concrete pavement nine feet wide , <br /> Broadway Avenue to McDougall Avenue by two strips of cement concrete pave- <br /> ment seven feet wide , McDougall Avenue to Rainier Avenue by reinforced ce- <br /> ment concrete pavement, street width between curbs to be thirty (30) feet, <br /> and Rainier Avenue to .ialnut Street by two strips of cement concrete pave- <br /> ment seven feet wide; also Rockefeller to McDougall Avenue, Rainier Avenue <br /> to Cedar Street, Maple Street to Walnut Street by re-topping existing as- <br /> phalt pavement with asphalt concrete, Rockefeller Avenue to Walnut Street <br /> by construction of cement concrete curbs, also construction of curb and gut- <br /> ters as necessary; paving alley crossing and replacement of concrete side- <br /> walks to fit new work, the making of the necessary changes at the intersec- <br /> tions and doing all other necessary work for a complete improvement, all in <br /> accordance with Resolution No. of the City of Everett, creat- <br /> ing assessment district, creating a local improvement district fund there- <br /> for, providing that a cost of improvement not to exceed thirty per cent plus <br /> clerk and treasurer's fees be paid by special assessment upon the property <br /> in said district , under the mode of payment by bonds and the balance there- <br /> of shall be paid from funds allocated to the City of Everett from the Wash- <br /> ington State Motor Vehicle Fund and by Federal grant of the United States <br /> government and declaring an emergency. And , <br /> WHER S,S , by Resolution No. 401 4. , of the City of Everett , the City <br /> Council has declared its intention to order the improvement as above outlined <br /> and doing all other work in connection therewith to make a complete improve- <br /> ment in accordance with the plans and specifications prepared by the City <br /> Engineer of said City; NOW, THEREFORE <br /> TIE CITY OF EVEREETT DOES ORDAIN: <br /> Section 1 . That Sixteenth Street from Rockefeller Avenue to Walnut <br /> Street, be improved by clearing and grubbing, removal of old lumber, grading <br /> to proper grade , removal of existing curbs, walks and pavements as necessary, <br /> installation of necessary drainage, construction of a one course Portland ce- <br /> inept concrete pavement, from Rockefeller Avenue to Broadway Avenue by two <br /> strips of Portland cement concrete pavement nine feet wide, street width bet- <br /> ween curbs to be thirty-four (34) feet ; Broadway Avenue to McDougall Avenue <br /> by two strips of Portland cement concrete pavement seven (7) feet wide, street <br /> width between curbs to be thirty (30) feet; from McDougall Avenue to Rainier <br /> Avenue by reinforced Portland cement concrete pavement , street width between <br /> curbs to be thirty (30) feet; from Rainier Avenue toWalnut Street by two <br /> strips of Portland cement concrete pavement seven (7) feet wide , street width <br /> between curbs to be thirty (30) feet ; also Rockefeller Avenue to McDougall <br /> Avenue , Rainier Avenue to Cedar Street , Maple Street to Walnut Street by <br /> -1- <br />
