OBT:e 9-23-35 ORDINANCE NO._ 2.658_ AN ORDINANCE confirming the result of a special election held September 21, 1935, providing for certain additions and betterments to the exist- ing waterworks system of the City of Everett and authorizing the issuance of special revenue bonds in a sum of not to exceed $175,000 to pay therefor, providing for the form and detail of said bonds , the issuance and sale thereof and declaring an emergency. WHEREAS , at a special election held in the City of Ev- erett , Washington, on September 21, 1935 , pursuant to Ordinance No. 2656 of said city passed and approved September 10, 1935, the qualified voters of said city ratified the making of cer- tain additions and betterments to the existing waterworks system and issuing special revenue bonds in the principal sum of $175,000 to pay therefor; and, WHEREAS, said city is now desirous of constructing said additions and betterments and issuing and selling said bonds, NOW THEREFORE, THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN SECTION 1. That the adoption by the voters of the said city of Everett at the special election held therein on Sep- tember 21, 1935, of a plan for the construction of certain additions and betterments to the water supply system of said city and the issuance of special revenue bonds in the sum of $175 ,000 payable from the revenues of said water system to pay therefor, be and the same is hereby in all things ratified and confirmed, and the proper officers of the said city are hereby authorized and directed to do all things necessary in the preparation of plans and specifications, calling for bids and completing said work. SECTION 2. That the Mayor and City Clerk of said city -1-
