ORDINANCE NO. (n.5'. An Ordinance providing for the improvement of Bond Street in the City of Everett , from the end of brick pavement at Federal street to the brick pavement at Kromer Avenue, by removal of .old wood blocks, construction of one course Port- land cement concrete pavement, adjusting granite curbs, removing and repairing sidewalks, curbs and gutters as necessary, installation of necessary drainage , and doing all other work necessary in connection therewith to make a complete improvement, all in accordance with Resolution No. 3952 of the City of Everett , creating an assessment district, creating a local improvement district fund therefor , providing that said improvement be made by a special assessment not to exceed 30%, plus clerk and treasurer's fees, of the cost thereof upon the prop- erty in said district under the mode of payment by bonds and the balance by funds allocated from the Washington State Motor Vehicle Fund and by Federal grant , to the said city. WHEREAS , by Resolution No. 3952 of the City of Everett the City Council has declared its intention to order the improvement as above outlined and doing all other work necessary in connection therewith to make a complete improvement in accordance with plans and specifications prepared by the City Engineer; Now, Therefore , THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: Section 1. That Bond Street , between the end of the brick pavement at Fed- eral Street and to the brick pavement at Kromer Avenue, be improved by the remov- al of old wood blocks, adjusting granite curbs, construction of one course Port- land cement concrete pavement , removing and repairing sidewalks , curbs and gutters as necessary, installation of necessary drainage and by doing all other work on the entire district necessary in connection therewith to make a complete improve- ment according to the plans and specifications prepared under the direction of the City Engineer, which plans and specifications are hereby adopted and approved . Section 2. That the cost and expense of such improvement , including all necessary incidental expenses, not to exceed 30%, plus clerk and treasurer's fees , shall be borne by and assessed against the property included in the Assessment District herein created in accordance with law. The remaining amount not charged to the district shall be paid for out of funds allocated from the 4ashington State Motor Vehicle Fund to the City of Everett and by Federal grant. The city of Everett shall not be liable in any manner for any portion of the costs and ex- penses of such improvement , except as provided in Chapter 141, Session Laws of Washington, 1923, and Ordinance No. 2126 of the City of Everett . Section 3. There is hereby established a local improvement district to be called Local Improvement District No. 51 which district shall include -1
