ORDINANCE NO. s4.6 .
<br /> An Ordinance amending Ordinance No. 2513, as amended by Ordinance No . 2526,
<br /> known as the "License Code", entitled as follows, to-wit;
<br /> "An Ordinance relating to , arid providing for, the licensing and regu-
<br /> lating of certain occupations , businesses , vocations , trades, callings ,
<br /> amusements, places of amusements , exhibitions, entertainments, animals,
<br /> motor vehicles , places and establishments; defining offenses, providing
<br /> penalties; providing for the revocation and suspension of licenses; re-
<br /> pealing Ordinances No . 2196 , 853, 1301, 1503, 1583, 1585 , 1595, 1598,
<br /> 1771, 1851, 1932, 1941, 1948, 1964, 2087, 2182, 2249 , 2333, 2370 and
<br /> 2038, and all other ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict here-
<br /> with"
<br /> by amending Section 99, repealing Section 8 of Ordinance No. 2574, and all other
<br /> ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith, and declaring an emer-
<br /> gency.
<br /> THE CITY OF LVERETT DOES ORDAIN:
<br /> Election 1. That Section 99 of Ordinance No . 2513 as amended by Ordinance
<br /> No. 2526 be amended to read as follows:
<br /> Section 99. For each and every circus, menagerie or trained animal show ex-
<br /> hibiting within the City of Everett , there shall be paid for each exhibition day
<br /> a license fee as follows: Three 03.00) Dollars for each and every motor truck
<br /> or trailer upon which such circus , menagerie or trained animal show is transport-
<br /> ed , or Six (4.00) Dollars for each and every railroad car or coach upon which
<br /> such circus , menagerie or trained animal show is transported , including stock
<br /> cars, flat cars , box cars , passenger coaches, sleeping cars, or other kind of
<br /> conveyance , providing, however , that the minimum fee for any circus, menagerie
<br /> or trained animal show shall be one Hundred and Fifty ( 150.00) Dollars. For each
<br /> sideshow conducted by such circus, for which a separate admission is charged ,
<br /> there shall be an additional license fee of Fifteen (7=15.00) Dollars.
<br /> For any auto joy ride for children ',5.00 per month. For a merry-go-round
<br /> or a "Joy Wheel" Five (t5.00) Dollars per day, Twenty-five (c)25.00) Dollars per
<br /> week, not including the first day of the week, commonly called Sunday. No li-
<br /> cense per day shall be granted for Sunday and it shall be unlawful to operate any
<br /> merry-go-round or "Joy Wheel" under a weekly license on Sunday.
<br /> For any other tent show or amusement given under canvas by a traveling exhi-
<br /> bitor or company, Fifteen ( 15.00) Dollars per day; Seventy-five (05.00) Dollars
<br /> per week; or Two Hundred (t200.00) Dollars per month.
<br /> For each theater, moving picture house , opera house or public hall, the
<br /> annual license fee shall be in the amount equal to fifteen (15) cents for each and
