I City of Everett Inductive Charging Infrastructure for Field Installation 00 21 13 - 3 I amount bid. Do not qualify Bids, since this will automatically be cause for rejection of the Bid.I B. Bid prices shall include everything necessary for the completion of the Work including, but not limited to, providing the materials, equipment,tools, plant and other facilities, and Ithe management, superintendence, labor, and all necessary testing services. C. Bidders are warned against making erasures or alterations of any kind to the Bid form, I and bids that contain omissions, erasures, or irregularities of any kind may be rejected. No oral, telegraphic, electronic or telephonic bids or modifications will be considered. I1.6 BIDDER'S SIGNATURE AND AUTHORITY A. The Bid must be signed by a person authorized to sign the Bid on behalf of the Bidder. 1.7 REVIS ION ON OR WITHDRAWAL OF BID I A. A Bid may be revised and resubmitted as the official Bid if the City receives the revised bid before the scheduled time for opening Bids. Resubmitted Bids shall be in full compliance with these Instructions to Bidders. Bid security shall be in an amount 1 Isufficient for the Bid as resubmitted. B. After the scheduled time for opening Bids, no Bidder will be permitted to withdraw his I Bid unless the award of contract is delayed for a period exceeding 60 calendar days Bids received after the scheduled closing for opening Bids shall be returned to the Bidder unopened. I C. Within 5 days after the opening of Bids, a Bidder who wishes to claim error after the Bids have been opened and tabulated shall submit a notarized affidavit signed by the Bidder, accompanied by original work sheets used in the preparation of the Bid, requesting relief I from the responsibilities of award. The affidavit shall describe the specific error(s) and certify that the work sheets are the originals used in the preparation of the Bid. City staff will review the certified work sheets to determine the validity of the claimed error and make a recommendation. If the City concurs in the claim of error, the Bidder will be Irelieved of responsibility, and the bid security of the Bidder will be returned. Thereafter, at the discretion of the City, all Bids may be rejected or award made to next lowest and responsive Bidder. At the discretion of the City, Bidders claiming error may or may not Ibe allowed to participate in the re-bid. I1.8 BID SECURITY A. Bid Security in the amount of at least 5 percent of the Total (Base Bid) shall accompany each Bid. This security may be by certified check, cashier's check, or a bid bond made I payable to the City of Everett. A bid bond shall be on the form provided in the Contract Documents. A bid bond shall not be conditioned to modify the minimum 5-percent required. The surety shall: (1) be registered with the Washington State Insurance I Commissioner, and (2) appear on the current Authorized Insurance List in the State of Washington published by the Office of the Insurance Commissioner.
