Installation • Qualified Only) <br /> Surround Panel & Control Panel Installation & Removal <br /> NOTE: Attach the vent prior to installing the surround panels (and circuit board). <br /> 1. Position the insert so the front of insert is approximately 14" to 16" from the fireplace <br /> opening. <br /> 2. The control panel is shipped inside a box, attached to the top of the insert. Remove it <br /> from the box and place it near the insert. <br /> 3. On older models the side panels are shipped attached (on newer models the panels are <br /> ordered separately—skip to step 5).. Each side panel is held in place with two screws <br /> (see photo below, to the left).
