Reinforcement must conform to ASTM A 615 (rebar) or ASTM A 706 (welded wire), Grade 60 <br />rebar and supports. <br />iv. Access hatches must be H-20 load-rated and require less than 50 pounds of force to open. <br />v. Unit must include utility anchors to move around the jobsite with a crane. <br />vi. Access covers shall be designed in accordance with Section 4-4.2 (3) of the City of Everett’s <br />Design and Construction Standards and Specifications and the following: <br />a. All lids, grates, and hatches larger than 24 inches in any dimension must be constructed in <br />a manner which allows a single individual to open them without special equipment. <br />b. All lids, grates, and hatches must be equipped with a pick-hole or handles. <br />5. Internal components of the unit must include: <br />i. Biofiltration Media: <br />a. Biofiltration media must consist of ceramic material. <br />b. Media must be produced to meet the requirements of ASTM C330, ASTM C331, and <br />AASHTO M195. <br />c. Media must not contain any organic material. <br />d. The thickness of the biofiltration media must be at least 19” from influent end to effluent <br />end. <br />e. Retention time in the biofiltration media must be a minimum of three minutes. <br />f. The loading rate on the biofiltration media must not exceed 1.1 gallons per minute per <br />square foot of surface area. <br />C. MWS Operation: MWS unit requires specific inflow and outflow measurements to ensure effective <br />operations for the site location. Site specific dimensions and measurements must be as indicated in <br />the drawings. <br />1. StormFilter requirements are identified in the Drawing SD3. <br />2. Modular Wetlands System – Linear requirements are identified in the Drawing SD4. <br />2.4 ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS <br />The bid for water quality treatment structures must also include the following: <br />A. Shop Drawings – to be provided for review and approval prior to beginning manufacturing the <br />treatment units. <br />B. Manufacturer’s support and assistance to the city’s contractor during installation. <br />C. A “Manufacturer’s Performance Certification” certifying that each unit is capable of achieving the <br />specified removal efficiencies and flow rates listed in the plans and special provisions. <br />D. Operations and maintenance (O&M) manuals or instructions for each structure installed. The <br />document(s) must include recommended maintenance procedures, frequencies, inspection
