EVERETT <br />4/20/2021 Case Number: CE21-0280 <br />WASHINGTON <br />Susan Abolafya <br />4514 SEAHURST <br />EVERETT, WA 98203 <br />NOTICE TO COMPLY <br />i <br />Violation Address: 4514 SEAHURST AVE, EVERETT, WA 98203 <br />Greetings, <br />Our office has received notification regarding work without permits that is/are <br />present upon the property. An inspection of your premises/property located at <br />4514 SEAHURST AVE, was made on April 14, 2021. It was observed that most <br />of the interior of the lower level had been stripped of drywall on the walls and <br />ceiling. The furred exterior wall cavities were open, exposing the foundation <br />walls. Most, but not all, of the lower level, was visible. Review of city records <br />Indicate no required permits were acquired for this work. This inspection <br />confirmed the following violations of the Everett Municipal Code (EMC), <br />International Property Maintenance Code (IPMC) and International <br />Residential Code (IRC): <br />The Interior alteration of the single-family residence Including but not limited <br />to, removal of drywall without required permits is unlawful as defined by IPMC <br />108.1.4, and in violations of IPMC 106.1 and IRC R105.1, which read: <br />IPMC 108.1.4 Unlawful structure. <br />An unlawful structure is one found in whole or In part to be occupied by more <br />persons than permitted under this code, or was erected, altered or occupied <br />contrary to law. <br />IPMC 106.1 Unlawful acts. <br />It shall be unlawful for a person, firm or corporation to be in conflict with or in <br />violation of any of the provisions of this code. <br />IRC R105.1 Permit Required <br />Any owner or owner's authorized agent who intends to construct, enlarge, alter, <br />PERMIT SERVICES <br />repair, move, demolish or change the occupancy of a building or structure, or to <br />Q3200 Cedar Street <br />erect, install, enlarge, alter, repair, remove, convert or replace any electrical, <br />Everett, WA 98201 <br />gas, mechanical or plumbing system, the installation of which is regulated by <br />this code, or cause any such work to be done, shall first make application to the <br />O 425.257.8810 <br />building official and obtain the required permit. <br />425.257.8857 fax <br />i <br />® everetteps@everettwa.gov <br />everettwa.gov/permits <br />The City would like to solicit your cooperation with the correction of this matter <br />by completing the following: <br />Page 1 of 2 <br />
