c. Identify existing structural components affected by the proposed work. Modifications to <br /> existing framing should be indicated. Project involving substantial demolition and <br /> modification of existing framing should provide separate demolition and construction <br /> plans clearly showing the pre- and post-construction conditions, respetively. <br /> d. Complete gravity load path consisting of roof and floor joists, walls, beams, headers, <br /> posts, and foundations. <br /> e. Location and lengths of braced wall panels, and the location and spacing of braced wall <br /> lines. See IRC Section R602.10. <br /> f. Details for the connections between all framing. The size, weather-protection (e.g., <br /> galvanizing, etc.), and number of generic fasteners should be specified. The make and <br /> model of proprietary hardware, including the size and number of fasteners, should be <br /> provided. Minimum spacing, and end and edge distances for fasteners should be <br /> specified. <br /> g. Specification of preservative-treated or naturally durable framing when required. <br /> Preservative-treated wood should comply with AWPA U1; cuts and holes should be <br /> coated with a preservative treatment complying with AWPA 4. See IRC Section R317. <br /> h. Metal fasteners in contact with preservative-treated wood should be galvanized, <br /> stainless steel, or another approved corrosion-resistant material. See IRC Section <br /> R317.3. <br /> i. Deck construction should comply with IRC Section R507. <br />
