August 23, 2023 <br /> <br />2 <br /> <br /> <br />Council Member Rhyne requested the City’s costs for overnight stays at the jail. Mayor Franklin <br />stated Finance staff would follow up with the requested information. <br /> <br /> <br />PUBLIC COMMENT <br /> <br />Council received four (4) written comments and the following members of the public spoke: <br />Brock Howell, Willie Russell, Emily Simpson, and Joe Kunzler. <br /> <br /> <br />COUNCIL COMMENTS <br /> <br />Council comments and liaison reports were provided by council members. <br /> <br /> <br />ADMINISTRATION UPDATE <br /> <br />Government Affairs Director Jennifer Gregerson reminded Council members that the Budget <br />Subcommittee meeting will begin at 5 p.m. next Wednesday, August 30th. She also stated Public <br />Works staff contacted a community member who had concerns about bike paths. <br /> <br /> <br />CITY ATTORNEY <br /> <br />Deputy City Attorney Ramsey Ramerman requested a 5-minute executive session pursuant to <br />RCW 42.30.110 (1)(i), with anticipated Council action to follow. <br /> <br /> <br />CONSENT ITEMS: <br /> <br />Moved by Council Member Zarlingo, seconded by Council Member Tuohy, to approve the <br />following consent items: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION – CLAIMS <br /> <br />To adopt Resolution No. 7923 authorizing claims against the City of Everett in the amount of <br /> $4,150,868.61 for the period ending August 5, 2023, through August 11, 2023. <br /> <br /> <br />
