Amendment 1 PSA with Brown and Caldwell for Port Gardner Storage Facility Project <br />Exhibit A Scope of Work <br />30 <br />− The workshop will be a concentrated virtual work session to analyze the project using <br />standard VE methodology. The workshop will include the following five phases: <br />▪ Information/orientation <br />▪ Speculation (Brainstorming) <br />▪ Analysis (Rating) <br />▪ Development (Develop cost estimates) <br />▪ Presentation (Report) <br />− Post workshop activities will include: <br />▪ Preparation of a value engineering report. <br />▪ Review and evaluation of the draft VE report by City and design team. <br />▪ Submit report to the design team and City for their evaluation and acceptance, <br />conditional acceptance/rejection, or rejection of the recommended alternatives. <br />• Making significant alterations to design that are inconsistent with the decisions made in the <br />Preliminary Design effort may require additional effort by the design team to modify the design. <br />Significant alterations are considered as changes to the design or documents that require more <br />than 20 hours of design team time to complete at each design review milestone. This allowance <br />applies to each design milestone and shall be based on the design team’s estimate of time <br />required to complete the work as agreed to and negotiated with the City. Task 808 – Services <br />During Bidding <br />− Attend pre-bid meetings . <br />− Address questions from potential bidders. <br />− Preparation of Bid Addenda to answer Bidder questions and provide edits, changes, or <br />clarifications to bid documents. <br />− Two pre-bid meetings, attended by one BC staff person, with a duration of two hours each. <br />− Assume 50 bidder questions. <br />− Assume five addenda consisting of up to 20 updates each to drawings and specifications. <br />• Task 809 – Conformed Docs <br />− Update bid documents to include addenda to result in a complete set of “for construction” <br />contract documents. <br />− One electronic deliverable (PDF) set of design documents will be provided for the Conformed <br />Documents. No hard copy prints are included as part of this scope. <br />• Tasks X11– Site Civil, Utilities, and Conveyance Piping <br />− Combined sewer conveyance piping on site. <br />− Stormwater conveyance piping on site. <br />− Coordination with the ACE package team. Conduct 4 internal workshops with ACE package <br />team to make decisions on pipe alignments and interface with PGSF site. <br />− Yard piping, grading and drainage, paving and surfacing, large pipe plan and profiles, utilities, <br />fire protection, parking and traffic flow. <br />• Task X15 – Site/General Electrical <br />− Site power plans, site one-line diagrams, site lighting, receptacle, and grounding plans, <br />electrical classifications.
