• <br /> Section 23 - Additional Fixtures <br /> Should any applicant or occupant of premises desire an additional service <br /> or fixture , or to have water supplied for a purpose not stated in the applica- <br /> tion, a new application must be made and a permit obtained at the office of <br /> the Water Department . When additional fixtures are added and not reported , <br /> the same shall be charged at the rate for such time said fixtures have been <br /> in use up to and including the month in which the matter is brought to the <br /> attention of the Water Department . <br /> Section 24 - Reduction of Rate <br /> Should it be desired to discontinue the use of water for any special pur- <br /> pose , whether for street sprinklers, irrigation, hose connections, or other <br /> fixtures, the faucet must be removed , the branch pipe or service supplying the <br /> fixtures plugged , and a notice given in writing at the office of the City Water <br /> Department before any reduction of rates will be made . In case of closets and <br /> bath tubs, it will be necessary to disconnect the waste pipes and give written <br /> 4 <br /> notice as above stated . <br /> Section 25 - Discontinuing Service <br /> Should it be desired to discontinue the use of water supplied any premises, <br /> notice in writing shall be given and payment in full of all arrearages shall be <br /> made at the office of the Water Department . The water shall then be shut off <br /> and upon proper application will be turned on again without charge . No re- <br /> mission of rates will be made without the notice prescribed in this section. <br /> There shall be no reduction whatever for vacant rooms in houses which are <br /> rated for one family only . During the sprinkling season (June , July, August <br /> & September) , when the house is to be vacant for a period of one month, or <br /> longer, and the owner desires to continue the use of water through hose for <br /> yard sprinkling, the water may remain turned on without further charge than <br /> the minimum rate for a residence ; plus sprinkling charge, provided the latter <br /> be prepaid and notice given in writing at the office of the Water Department <br /> that the house will be entirely unoccupied for a period of not less than <br /> thirty days . If the house should be occupied during said term by any person <br /> whomsoever, the full rate for the month must be paid. <br /> -12- <br />
