as is occupied, wholly or in part, by a building . Service pipes must not be <br /> run to other lots. <br /> Water shall be charged for all purposes for which it is available in the <br /> building whether fixtures are in the rooms or not . <br /> Water pipes shall not be permitted to run across streets or alleys. <br /> Water shall not be turned on for any new service for domestic purposes <br /> unless a faucet has first been installed inside the building. <br /> No person shall place a tap in a yard or common area of any premises <br /> for any other purpose than that of sprinkling or irrigation, and no tap for <br /> such purpose shall be so placed as to be accessible to persons living in or <br /> occupying neighboring premises . Water shall not be allowed to pass to taps <br /> placed in violation of this section, or if turned on to any such taps, shall <br /> be shut off until such tap is removed to some unexposed place on said prem- <br /> ises; and no tap shall be placed in any yard or common area of any premises <br /> for any purpose unless another tap shall have been previously placed and be <br /> in use in the house situated upon such premises. If water shall be used from <br /> a tap placed in a yard or common area for any other purpose than that of <br /> sprinkling or irrigation, the Water Department shall discontinue the supply <br /> of all water to the premises upon which said water is so used. This rule <br /> does not apply to water used for building construction purposes. . <br /> Notice shall be given forty-eight hours in advance for tapping the mains . <br /> Section 20 - Size of Service Pipe <br /> The Superintendent of the Water Department shall determine the size of <br /> tap to be inserted into any water main and the size of service pipe under <br /> any application or permit. <br /> No person or family supplied with water by the City will be permitted to <br /> use it for any purpose other than that stated in the application, and shall <br /> not in any way supply other persons or families . <br /> Section 21 - Application for Water Connections <br /> Any person desiring to have premises connected with the water supply sys- <br /> tem of the City of Everett shall make application to the Water Department, on <br /> printed forms to be furnished for that purpose . Every application shall be <br /> made by the owner of the property to be benefitted or by his authorized agent, <br /> -9- <br />
